Van hire at Enterprise

Enterprise

You can’t travel far throughout the U.K. without stumbling across Enterprise van hire. You can pick up from 370 different van hire locations, though if you’re lucky you might not have to. Some Enterprise locations will give you a lift from your door to your reserved van. How’s that for enterprising?

Enterprise is also the official Drive Alliance hire partner of rental agency National, so you might find that Enterprise will honour your National booking, too.

Enterprise – Rental

Enterprise van hire offers you the power to pay online and secure a decent discount on any van rental. This exclusive service also allows you the flexibility to modify your rental up to 12 hours before your pickup time.

If you are travelling outside of the U.K. to the Republic of Ireland then you should inform the Enterprise branch prior to pick up. Bear in mind that this will carry an extra £75 fee on top of your rental quotation.

International van rental is not currently available with Enterprise. You should not take an Enterprise van outside of the U.K. borders (with the exception of the Republic of Ireland). Travellers to the Republic of Ireland will also need to pay an additional £75 on top of their rental quote, and should confirm with their local Enterprise branch before pick-up.

Payment

You can book a bargain with Enterprise by pre-paying online for your van rental. You also have the freedom to modify your booking up to 12 hours before the agreed pick up time. This flexible policy is free of charge and no hassle, though your quote may be recalculated if dates or details change.

You’ll need an American Express, Visa or Mastercard credit card to pay online. The card should also be in the name of the main driver for the van.

You can also choose to pay on arrival. You can use a credit or debit card in the name of the main driver. Using a debit card may mean additional identity checks will be carried out (see ‘Documentation’ for further details).

The card used to pay for the van hire (whether online or upon arrival) will be used to take a security deposit. The deposit amount for any van is £200 and will be returned upon delivery of the van at your destination. You can also use another card to pay the deposit, though an additional security deposit (also £200) will also be required.

Cancellation Policy

Any booking that has been pre-paid online can be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before pickup. Enterprise will give you a full refund.

If you are inside the 3 day window of a pre-paid online booking, you might consider modifying your booking rather than cancel it. Cancelling this booking up to 24 hours before pickup carries a cancellation charge. You will receive a full refund minus the charged amount. The charge will be the least amount between:

Any cancellations within 24 hours of pickup will not be entitled to any refund.

Any Enterprise van rental booking not prepaid online (pay on arrival) can be cancelled at any time without charge.

Insurance

All Enterprise van rental quotes come complete with insurance coverage. The Damage Waiver (DW) and Theft Protection (TP) insurance cover the main driver (and any additional drivers) against accident or theft. There is a liability excess amount of £1000.

You can also take out the option of Excess Protection (EP). This costs an extra £14.99 per day and reduces any liable excess from the Damage Waiver or Theft Protection to £100.

The Damage Waiver doesn’t cover you for repairs needed to glass or tyres (when not part of a larger repair). You can waive this responsibility by taking out Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP). This costs only £4.99 per hire and removes any costs associated with small damages to these fragile areas. It also prevents any extra costs for replacement keys or call-out charges due to a fault by the renter. Useful if you are not running on all cylinders.

Documentation

The main driver (and any additional drivers) should have a full and valid driver’s license for at least 1 year. A credit card will also be required for proof of identity.

If you are paying by debit card you’ll need to bring a valid passport and a utility bill or bank statement (not more than 3 months old).
