One way van hire with Europcar lets you drop off your van at a different location. Rates will vary between locations, and starts from as little as £20 within central London (or from £65 from other locations).Check your local Europcar branch for one way van hire details.
You’re in the right place if you want to take a van outside of the U.K. Europcar supports international van hire, but this should be agreed with the Europcar location before you rent. Additional documents may be required (depending on the country you are going to) and an extra charge depending on the duration of the rental.
International van rental can usually occur in the following countries (considered Section 1, Green Card not required):
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
International van hire to other countries (considered section 2) requires acceptance by the Europcar van rental insurance agent (and a Green Card will be required). You should request this at least 5 days in advance of your hire. An additional charge may be applicable for this request. The legally required VE103B form is provided by the Branch at time of pick up or later by arrangement.

Any pre-paid online booking can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up.
Cancellations to prepaid bookings after this time shall be subject to a cancellation fee of £45.
Any non-prepaid online bookings can be cancelled at no charge at any time.
Any card used to pay online should be presented upon pick-up of the van. A deposit will also be required (£250) and will be returned when the van is dropped off. You can also use a different card than the payment card to make the deposit.

Switch, Solo or Maestro are not accepted.
Cash and Cheque payments can only be accepted at specific locations.
Europcar van rental quotes include Third Party Insurance, Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Waiver. These insurances apply an excess of £1000.
There are exceptions to the CDW coverage, such as: Damage caused to the vehicle hitting a bridge, car park barrier or other overhead object or damage caused by driver negligence.
There are also exceptions to the TW: Not covered if all locks and security devices are not used or activated when vehicle is left unattended, or if the key is lost, or damage caused by driver negligence.
For extra peace of mind you can reduce any liable excess from the following additional insurance policies:
Risk Reduction Cover &/or Peace of Mind Cover – reduces the excess liability of the CDW and TW to £250 (instead of £1000).
GoZen: Risk Reduction Cover Plus &/or Super Peace of Mind Cover – reduces the excess liability of the CDW and TW to £0 (instead of £1000). Drivers must be over 26 to be eligible for this. This insurance also includes free Value Cover.
Value Cover – reduces the excess liability for specific damage to vulnerable parts of the vehicle only (such as tyres, windscreen and other glass) to £0.
Personal Accident & Baggage Cover – Provides insurance coverage against injury, medical expenses and loss of goods. Renters can claim against loss of work due to death or disability, or for loss of baggage.
The main driver must hold a full and valid driving licence for a minimum of 3 years. If the licence is the new style UK driving licence then both the photo card and paper licence are required.
If, for any reason, Europcar needs to check the license with the DVLA there will be an additional fee of £10.
An international driving license will be required if the license has been issued outside of the U.K. and is not easily identified as a driving license. Another form of photographic I.D. may be required, such as a passport.
Europcar uses the Equifax eIDVerifier system to confirm your address details. If this cannot verify your information additional paper proof of identity may be required (such as a utility bill or credit card statement.
International travellers may also need to show details of their return flights (if applicable) and contact details while in the U.K. as well as the above.
